WESTBOURNE FREE CHURCH NOTES

A memorial service to Mrs. J. Moore was held on Sunday morning, which was conducted by the minister.

During the course of his address, based on the words "I am the Resurrection" the speaker eulogised the life and character of Mrs. Moore.

Historic Note: Little White Ribboners was the children's section of the National British Women's Total Abstinence Union (N.B.W.T.A.U.) a worldwide union. Campaigns were directed against the sale of ‘intoxicating drinks’ to children, abuse of publican’s opening hours, repeal of grocer’s and shopkeeper’s licences to sell alcohol as well as campaigning for the care, treatment and reform of alcoholics (or inebriates as they were known then).
