Tony Gosling was one of my friends when at Chichester High School for Boys. His parents had a small market garden at Bosham and in the Summer Term I would often cycle over to spend a few hours with him. There was a pool in the garden for a refreshing dip, a local heronry for some bird watching and rat catching with his dog or shot gun. Eating freshly picked peaches and riding home with a shirt full of Cox apples rounded off the visit.
