Looking back up the road to The Good Intent, the centre building is the former post office. A red telephone box stood where the car is parked. It was there with my 4 old pennies and finger poised to press button A or B that I rang my future wife in Newcastle upon Tyne. She had a phone as her father was a policeman.  Further up the road is Manchester Terrace where the future wife of my brother lived.
