For us children a highlight of the walk was a lemonade and a packet of crisps sitting outside of the pub in the warm sunshine watching the sea birds. Then it was back along the Langstone & Havant Road back to Emsworth. We would pop in to see our grandparents before catching the bus back home, tired and early to bed for school in the morning.
